Video: How can we Build Resilience to Shame?
It’s really helpful to talk about shame, as parents, with parents. There is comfort, in having a word for what we are feeling, in knowing that others feel the same way, and when we normalize experiences of shame, we can take away some of its power. The main idea here is to recognize that shame may be in the room with the parents and there are things you can do to mitigate or reduce the shame so that it doesn't get in the way of you making a difference.
